Scuderia Prongles driver and Discord member BigTimeBosco has extended his contract with the fledgling team for an additional season, Autosport can confirm.

When reached for comment, Prongles owner and team representative Sultan Potatoflavour affirmed that "As a brand we are deeply passionate about being second, and so we were highly impressed with Bosco's dedication when he didn't even come second at the end of Season 3, but came second at being second".

Speaking further about other considerations the team made, the Sultan remarked "We considered a driver with greater marketability like Michael Smith, or one with faster pace such as Birdy or Cousin Bob - but they wouldn't return our calls".

"They haven't paid me yet - I wasn't going to answer the phone", 32-year-old wheel turner BigTimeBosco reflected, "but I can't get enough of those damned crisps. I don't know what they put in them, but once I popped, all I could think was how great it was. Just one more season to take the edge off...".

Autosport then consulted the Sultan on their choice of manufacturer for the approaching season - "Why Alpine? Who cares, it was the first one on the list. Are we done here?".

With the recent news of ex-sponsor Detos forming their own rival venture, there has been no official confirmation on whether the team has retained its other sponsors such as KatKot, Sunbucks Coffee and Snipers - but analysts have predicted a whole new team identity following the fallout from brand mascot Brayden the Hog's public meltdown on X, in which he declared a personal war on all other food and drink brands.

The new livery will be unveiled shortly before the shakedown at Oulton Park, which kicks off the upcoming season.
